Hello, PIDS friends! Here's our #PIDSFactFriday for the week on international labor migration.

A PIDS study that analyzed the 2018 National Migration Survey noted that despite the need for a written employment contract, some Filipinos still risk going abroad to work without it. This is prevalent among those with lower educational attainment than those with higher education. There is also a greater tendency to not get a written contract among those directly hired by the employer, those who did not need a visa to enter the destination country, and those who went abroad using a tourist visa.
