The peso-dollar exchange rate showed a reverse in its recent trend. From a constant downward movement seen beginning October of last year, the peso suddenly weakened against the dollar. The monthly average exchange rate went as low as 54.341 in May but suddenly went up to 55.179 in June.

Year-on-year headline inflation rate at the national level slowed down to 7.6 percent in June from 8.5 percent in May.

Composite Index closes at 1,924.23 for the month of June. This is lower compared to May`s 1,929.38.

The Treasury Bill Rate (91-day) continues to plunge to 6.103 in May from 6.628 last April.
