This study investigates the equality of participation of Filipino men and women in various spheres of everyday life and is conducted in three communities with different level of development. Results indicate that women are more oppressed than men and are higher in degree in urbanized communities. The author therefore suggests a need for women’s liberation in the Philippine society.
