The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) is requesting PIDS formulate DHSUD's Assessment Tool on basic service level standards and guidelines or templates for the transfer of resettlement sites to LGUs. This is in view of the 2015 assessment of the Oplan Likas Program, which reveals that the resettlement sites lack the basic facilities like water and electricity and community facilities like health clinics, poor solid waste management, lack of livelihood opportunities, and low quality of housing units, among others. Also, with the Covid19 Pandemic, this heightened the need for WASH and other health related provisions in a resettlement site such water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), adequate space for health care facility.
