The Philippines Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) will hold a series of webinars for this year’s Sixth Annual Public Policy Conference (APPC) on Innovating Governance: Building Resilience Against COVID-19 and Other Risks.

This is the last of the four-part webinar series (via CISCO Webex) happening on September 24, 2020, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

This session will discuss how developing countries like the Philippines can adopt and implement smart systems in governance to achieve resilience against future risks. Specifically, it will focus on best practices, key elements for success, and barriers that the Philippines and other developing countries must overcome to succeed in implementing smart systems.

The APPC is the main and culminating activity of the Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) celebration held every September. It aims to convene foreign and local experts, researchers, policymakers, and representatives from government, private sector, and civil society in an evidence-based discourse of policy issues and options.

The webinar will be streamed live on the PIDS Facebook page (https://.facebook.com/PIDS.PH).

Details of this year’s DPRM and APPC may be accessed from the DPRM website at https://dprm.pids.gov.ph/.
