The Network of East Asian Think-Tanks (NEAT) Philippines, led by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS), will be hosting the 42nd NEAT Country Coordinators Meeting (CCM) on August 13, 2025, in Metro Manila.

This annual meeting brings together government and research institutions in the 10 ASEAN Plus Three (APT) countries—Japan, South Korea, and China—and serves as a platform for track-two diplomacy and collaborative research in East Asian cooperation.

NEAT country coordinators, contact persons, Working Group representatives, diplomats, and academe members from across the APT countries will convene to discuss working group reports focused on economic resilience and disaster-management frameworks that are primarily affecting the region. The meeting also highlights the drafting of a memorandum that aims to provide policy recommendations to leaders on these pressing concerns across the APT countries.

This meeting comes at a pivotal time, as the Philippines prepares to assume the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2026. As host, PIDS is committed to leveraging the CCM as a venue for consensus-building and a platform for envisioning contributions to the region’s policy direction.

This event is by invitation only.
